Newsletter: August Update – Sent 13/08/23
Dear St Alban’s Classical Academy Supporter,

Unexpected challenges have arisen, but God is still working!
Building Update:Since the disappointing news from the Winchester City Council about our planning application, we have been working hard to raise the funds to bring us through to a second planning application for Change of Use of the building in Bishops Waltham. We have received $500 from supporters from the USA, and a few more donations from within the UK on our GiveSendGo! We still need roughly another £11,000 beyond what we have already raised. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been enough to proceed with this current building at the moment. We are pursuing other quotations to see if we can continue with the application by reducing the cost whilst also looking and praying for God to provide another building.
🌟🌟🌟New Event:🌟🌟🌟“A Very Classical Evening” with Memoria Press – an evening filled with classical music, food, and guest speakers from USA—Tanya Charlton and Leigh Lowe, along with Brian Lapsa, Memoria Press’ new UK Coordinator. Reserve your spot for Wednesday, 11 October at 7:30pm at All Saints’, Eastleigh Parish Church, Eastleigh here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-very-classical-evening-with-memoria-press-registration-698088340017?aff=oddtdtcreator

Staff Update: Our directors and teaching staff are meeting weekly to continue praying and planning for the founding of St Alban’s Classical Academy. Please be in prayer with us and keep your ears to the ground about possible buildings we could hire to host our new school.

Reminder of Upcoming Event:“Summer Classics” – a mezzo soprano solo recital by Lillian Sediles will take place on Thursday, 24 August at 7:30pm at All Saints’, Eastleigh Parish Church, Eastleigh. Grab your tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/668421244937?aff=oddtdtcreator

All proceeds for these events go towards starting St Alban’s Classical Academy. We thank you for your support and prayers to the establishment of this new school. Together, we can shape the future for Christ by passing to the next generation our rich culture and roots through a Classical and Christian education.

Soli Deo Gloria.

May God bless you abundantly!

Warm regards,
Felipe and Lillian Sediles
